Dorm Food

Well has the class of  2013 is getting ready to graduate soon maybe its time to start thinking about ways to be healthy inside of your dorm rather then eating out all the time. There are about 4 great ideas to eat healthy  in your dorm room.

1.) Make sure you eat breakfast every morning

2.) Learn some healthy microwave recipes

3.)  Choose prepared or processed microwave food carefully

4.) Make good choices when you visit your campus dining facilities

3 Top Secrets to Crisp Flavorful Golden Waffles

1. Stiff egg whites-The batter should have stiff egg whites folded into it. When you beat egg whites to stiff peaks, they hold in a TON of air (think about what’s going on with souffles). When you use the airy egg whites into your batter, they should make the waffles incredibly light instead of heavy and dense.

.

2. Cornstarch- The addition of cornstarch protects the waffle from getting soggy from cooking them.

3. Buttermilk-Buttermilk is important for the same reason …flavor. We all love substitutes, but be sure to use actual whole milk buttermilk from the store here, not vinegar curdled milk. It will make the waffles taste so much better.
